Moving up

I just got an email from one of the regular performers at off the wall comedy improv and was informed that i am going to be performing on the 5th of December. Although i wont be one of the paid players i will get to be on stage and play a couple of the games and do the line games with them. I am so very excited for this because by me doing this i 'm getting closer and closer to being a regular performer. I love being on stage and making people laugh. I have been working very hard for the past year trying to get closer to performing with the "elite" if you will.

ahh... wonderful.

Creativity

I've been slacking lately on my blogging. I'm still getting used to the whole idea, but i do enjoy it.

I have recently decided that i want to learn how to make feather hair accesories like these

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I think they are adorable. That is such an interesting idea. I'm pretty sure that would make any normal outfit out of the ordinary. Which is nice for me because i love doing something new with my hair. And if i can find new ideas of what i can add with my various braids and twists then thats just icing on the cake.

I wish i could spend some more time on here but i need to get working on some english homework. Following 2 english classes is quite the task.

Goodnight ♥

Anniversary

Today was Matt and my one year anniversary and i was pretty bummed all day because i knew i wasnt going to be able to see him. He has two jobs and his dad is leaving for China again tomorrow morning. So he calls me after he gets out of his best buy orientation and tells me he's coming over. It was about 8 by the time he got here and we decided to go get sushi (which is hard to find at 8 on a monday night). So we went to harmons and bought some - which is very risky - and it turned out to be great. We brought it home and had quite the romantic evening. I've come to the conclusion that our version of romance isn't the same as most. It isn't as cliche as the notebook and definatly isn't as creepy as twilight. Its our very own, and thats what makes it so special ♥

Craft Fair

Craft fair went very well! I am so excited that i got such a good response on my drawings. I actually got the opportunity to witness to some people by just talking to them about their lives and their walk. It was a really amazing experience. This whole weekend was deffinatly a God thing. (i'll post some of my drawings on here later)

Today is Matt and my one year anniversary but we dont get to see each other because he's working on a upcoming movie and has his Best Buy orientation. So we decided to celebrate it on saturday night after the craft fair was over. The plan was to go to red lobster but he decided to suprise me and go to SLC and eat at P.F. Changs. By the time we got there we had an hour an a half wait until we could eat there. So we decided to drive around for something else and we were both very grumpy because we were hungry and couldn't find parking. When finallly we just decided to go to macaroni grill just to see how long the wait was. There was no wait and we were seated instantly. neither of us have been there before but it was one of the best meals i've had in a very very long time. Then we drove back to go buy lego batman at walmart (we were obviously just flying by the seat of our pants at this point) and we exchanged gifts in the parking lot. Matt wrote the most beautiful song for me and recorded it in Brett's studio and played it. So i was sitting in the car with him with tears streaming down my cheeks and a big smile on my face. I wasn't reallly paying attention to what people were doing around us but i'm sure we got some weird looks. So we went back to his house and played video games the rest of the night. It was perfect (:

I am very blessed.

Cartoon

What an interesting day it has been. Tonight was youth group and i had to teach a group of 50 kids how to play an improv game. I chose "connnect the dots" because I figured it would be quite easy to learn - for those of you who dont know what connect the dots is i'll take a second to explain. First you get a suggestion from the audience, Preferably a normal household object, and one person steps out and says "I am _____" then another person adds onto the object. Its very much like scene painting.
So I was asked to teach that to a group of 9th through 12th graders. Oh my, it was the most confusing thing in the world. The kids that were the example group had no idea what was going on. I need to work more on my explaining. I've never taught to a group that has no improv experience whatsoever. It was a challenge, but they seemed to enjoy themselves.

So i got a table at the craft fair on friday and saturday. I'm very excited. I'm drawing caricatures (exagerated cartoon drawings of people). I just started drawing these about a month ago but i have really taken a liking to them. I feel like i'm improving quite a bit. I decided that since i'm going to be giving 50% of the profits to the youth group that i would use caricatures of the youth leaders as my examples.

Here are Chad and Benjer the jr high and senior high youth pastors:

I was too lazy to go and scan the picture so I just took the picture with my webcam. Sorry for the poor quality.

Well i better go work on my picture of Matty.
Goodnight (:

1 Timothy

Matt, Jake and I started our Bible study tonight on 1 Timothy. It went really well! I'm incredibly excited to see the way God works in us to help each other as well as others. We're a good team :)

haven't been sleeping well lately. i keep having these horrible dreams and waking up hysterically crying or screaming. No fun for anyone.

This reminds me of Peter Pan:

So i'm starting a few new things in my life -- we'll see how they work out.

First of all i started to rewrite the book i started a few years back. I'm very excited about this. Although i've had to make a lot of changes to it (after all i was in nineth grade when i started it) its turning out to be something i'm very proud of. More details on that later.

I also have been having a lot of weird sick feelings lately that i dont really feel are related to my seizures. I just feel floaty and like my brain is in a different place sometimes. Which is really starting to scare me so i was praying about it and i'm thinking i need to start running. Because when i was exercising regularly last summer i was feeling great all the time. It even was helping with my seizures. I ended up stopping at the begining of junior year because the swim coach wouldn't let me joing (the administration messed up my attendence credits) and i just kinda gave up after all that training. So matt and i decided to go running and maybe run a leg of the Ogden marathon this coming May. This could either be really fun or we'll end up being cranky at each other. We'll see :)
